Spring Into Auction!
CPNS Online & Silent Auction, Feb 27-Mar 5, 2012
Need some ideas on what to donate? We’ve got some great ones below! And scroll to the bottom of the page if you'd like some tips on what sells best on eBay. Don't forget to check back often, as we will be updating this page as we come up with new ideas!
Items From Home (New or Excellent Used Condition)
- Look through your closets and garage—do you have nice baby items you don’t need anymore? Perhaps you purchased something that you never used (like electronics, software), or were given a present that remains untouched.
- Re-gift your holiday gifts! Maybe you (or your kids) received one too many presents, or just can’t use the present you received. Donate to our auction!
- Ask your friends/family to see if they have any items they’d like to ‘get rid of’. Remember, CPNS is a non-profit and any donation is tax-deductible!
Talk To Friends
Make a list of friends who work at medium and large sized companies. Ask these friends to see if their business will make a contribution. You may find this easier than going through the Public Relations Department of the company.
Donate Name-Brand Items
Name brand items sell very well on eBay! Men, women and children's clothing/shoes, bedding, household items, and electronics that are ‘top of the line’ are all good donations IF they are in new or Excellent Used Condition. Read more about what sells best on eBay.
Donate Your Time
Have a special interest or skill you can donate? You can offer lessons to a single person/child or as a group (Dutch Auction style, meaning ). Here are some ideas:
- Music Lessons for children
- Art Lessons for children
- Language class (children or adults!)
- Cooking Lesson (have a unique/special dish? Teach to a group!)
- Surf Lessons
- Bowling Party
- Outdoor Movie Night (if you have an outdoor projector/screen)
- Park Date (for a small group of children, do with a friend!)
Group Sign Ups
The Auction Team will also be providing sign ups for many group donations. We’ll provide the ‘idea’ and all you need to do is sign up to help! Check back soon to see what we’ve got posted!
